Transparent evaluation

You see how we evaluate your items

We inspect hallmarks, makers, construction and condition, identify weighted or mixed-material components, and weigh eligible sterling content. We explain the classification and current market factors before presenting a free, no-pressure offer.

Testing and equipment

XRF analysis is explained in front of you

XRF analysis can help identify metal composition when a mark is unclear or construction is uncertain. When appropriate, testing is performed in front of you and the reading is explained. XRF supports—but does not replace—hallmark and construction review.

Questions answered

Sterling silver questions

Do I need a complete sterling service?

No. We evaluate complete services, partial sets, mismatched utensils, individual serving pieces and even one uncertain spoon.

What about weighted or filled pieces?

Bring them. Weighted, filled, reinforced, handled and mixed-material objects need an informed in-person examination because not every part has the same metal content.

Do you buy silver plate?

Sterling and eligible silver items are evaluated. Silver plate is identified separately and may not carry the same precious-metal value.

Should I polish or sort inherited silver first?

No. Bring the entire group as it is, including mismatched and damaged pieces. Hallmarks and construction matter more than polish.

No appointment required

Bring what you have. We will help you understand it.

Bring one silver item or an entire inherited cupboard. Your evaluation is free, transparent and without pressure or obligation. No photographs are needed and prices are provided only after an in-person examination.

Walk-ins are always welcome. Appointments are optional.
