Transparent evaluation

You see how we evaluate your items

We review the case, dial, movement, bracelet, reference details, condition, completeness and authenticity indicators. Precious-metal content may matter, but a recognized watch should be evaluated as a complete watch before it is treated as metal alone.

Testing and equipment

XRF analysis is explained in front of you

XRF analysis can help identify case or bracelet metal when appropriate, but it does not authenticate a watch by itself. Brand, reference, movement, condition, originality and market demand must also be examined.

Questions answered

Watch-selling questions

Does the watch need to work?

No. Bring working, nonworking, damaged and incomplete watches. Condition is one factor in the evaluation.

Do I need the box and papers?

No. Original boxes, papers, receipts, service records and extra links can help, but they are not required.

Do you evaluate pocket watches?

Yes. Bring gold pocket watches, railroad watches and inherited examples, including pieces that do not run.

Can you price a watch from a photograph?

No. A responsible offer requires an in-person review of authenticity indicators, reference, condition, completeness and market factors.

No appointment required
