Transparent evaluation

You see how we evaluate your items

We begin with the complete coin or group, identify the type and denomination, examine condition and authenticity indicators, and consider certification or collector relevance. Eligible investment metal is weighed and tested when appropriate. We then explain the factors behind the offer.

Testing and equipment

XRF analysis is explained in front of you

XRF analysis can help identify metal composition without relying on color or a stamp alone. When appropriate, testing is performed in front of you and the reading is explained. XRF is one part of the evaluation; coin type, authenticity, condition and collector demand also matter.

Questions answered

Gold coin and bullion questions

Can a gold coin be worth more than its gold content?

Yes. Date, mint mark, condition, rarity, certification and collector demand can matter. We examine the coin before treating it as metal alone.

Should I remove a coin from its holder?

No. Bring holders, slabs, capsules, boxes and paperwork exactly as you received them.

Do I need to organize an inherited coin collection?

No. Bring the complete group, including albums, tubes, envelopes and notes. We can review it with you.

When am I paid?

If you accept the offer, payment is immediate according to store policy.
